Residence check-in
One of the most exciting parts of arriving at Dal is moving in to your new home. For many of you, this is the first time you will be living independently. Whether you’re staying on or off campus Dalhousie has many supports to make adjusting to your new environment a little easier.
For residence check-in dates and times, please visit the Residence and Housing website and click on Getting Ready for September. Use the menu on the left to find your specific residence. Information will include how to check in and where to go on check-in day. You can also see who else will be working and living in your residence and what their roles are. Plus, you can find out how your family and friends can reach you at Dal.
If you have rented accommodations off campus we recommend you visit Dal’s Living Off Campus website and click Resources. Here you will find information on lease agreements, discount furniture, neighbourhood relations, and tenant/apartment insurance among other topics. |

Your DalCard is your Student ID card, library card and Dalplex ID. You can put money your DalCard and use it at selected retail outlets and restaurants on and off campus. If you're a full time student, the U-Pass sticker on your DalCard lets you ride Metro Transit buses, ferries, and Community Transit buses from September to April.
